Operating Forces

  • Military Sealift Command (MSC) Provides ocean transportation of equipment, fuel, supplies and ammunition for U.S. forces worldwide. Operates approximately 110 non-combatant, civilian-crewed ships around the world each day. Site has personnel locator, a contracts summary page and job listings.
  • Naval Reserve Provides mission-capable units and individuals to the Navy, Marine Corps Team from civilian ranks.
  • Operational Test and Evaluation Force Provides an independent and objective evaluation of the operational effectiveness and suitability of naval aviation, surface, subsurface, C4I, cryptologic, and space systems in support of Department of Defense and Navy acquisition and fleet introduction decisions.     • U.S. Atlantic Fleet
  • U.S. Pacific Fleet Provides information about the Pacific Fleet, its programs, publications, and services; includes link to Chinese visit site and home town heroes.
      • Pacific Fleet Submarine Force (COMSUBPAC) Includes attack, ballistic missile and auxiliary submarines, submarine tenders, floating submarine dry docks, deep submergence vehicles and submarine rescue vehicles throughout the Pacific.
